Summary Super Mario Bros. Funk Mix is a Super Mario Bros. inspired mod with 4 songs. With a faithful replication of the NES art style and original music based off of Koji Kondo's work, this mod will have you feeling the Mario groove!
Plot In the opening cinematic, GF is captured by Bowser, and so it rests upon BF to rescue her, being unfamiliar to the Mushroom Kingdom however, he stumbles around aimlessly until he meets Mario at the Mushroom Plains, where they have a friendly rap battle, after which, Mario continues with his journey, with BF following him around, leading to another rap battle at the underground. Afterwards, Mario reaches Bowser's castle alongside BF trailing behind, at which point, he gets annoyed at BF, thinking he is too much of a burden to keep up, and so, has another rap battle with him at the lava moat. Having defeated Mario once again, BF earns his respect, and so the two of them continue their journey into the castle, reaching the end, only to be informed by Toad that GF was in another castle.
Not losing his resolve to save GF, BF decides to continue his journey across the Mushroom Kingdom alongside Mario and his brother Luigi. In order to get to Bowser's lair, the group decide to cross the ocean underwater to get there quickly, however, as Mario and BF swim across, they get chased by a giant Cheep Cheep, Luigi tries to stop it, only for it to be too powerful for Luigi to control, leading to BF rap battling Luigi to save him. Having crossed the ocean, BF finds himself at the Hop Hop Heights, where he encounters various of Bowser's minions, including a Bob-omb, who raps battle BF, trying to blow him up, only for BF to get away. As BF continued his quest he gets kidnapped by some Hammer Bros, who bring him to Bowser at his airship, leading to a rap battle between the two. Things looked grim for BF, but fortunately for him, the Mario Bros storm the airship and take care the Hammer Bro, making Bowser simply jump off the ship rather than facing them. And so, ends BF quest, having rescued GF from Bowser.
