Summary
An untitled No More Innocence mod was created by Dumbie, Wilde, Lyfer, Yesn't, Sugar, Gagato, Cherlok, and Camdev. It was released on /funkg/ itself to a bit of "eh" reception at first, but then more anonymous users started playing it, and found it was really, really, fun!
Tails, since this is Sonic 2, is programmed to stick together with Sonic... but wait... this guy doesn't seem like Sonic. He doesn't seem like Sonic at all!
Audio
The last four seconds of the regular version of the song are earsplittingly loud. Make sure to lower your volume.

Gameplay Mechanic - Scareware
"Scareware is a form of malware which uses social engineering to cause shock, anxiety, or the perception of a threat in order to manipulate users into buying unwanted software. ...The "scareware" label can also apply to any application or virus which pranks users with intent to cause anxiety or panic." ― Wikipedia
- The mod has the power to close windows, change the user's background, reboot the host computer, change the cursor and it even detects OBS Studio, and prevents it from running. It also deletes the taskbar. Even when the host computer is rebooted, it still brings up images of No More Innocence from time to time. According to Lyfer themselves, however, the mod does not harm or compromise any files, and was only made to create fear on forums like 4chan, hence why the mod was posted there.
- This is why the source code isn't going to be shared.[1]
Trivia
- The mod will shut off OBS Studio if it's recording before playing. This is likely to prevent personal data from being leaked, as the mod directly calls out the current user's name. (check the mid song close for the leak.)
- You cannot regain health in the second phase, making it slightly harder.
